How Social Media Has Been Used to Resist a Totalitarian Country

Social media is used to resist totalitarian Countries by allowing millions of people to join together and put a stop to their dictators.

Social groups are made on Facebook, where people can post videos and uplifting personal opinions on the issues in these countries. The goal for these social groups is to put an end to totalitarianism, and removing the dictators, in hopes that the people in these Countries can have more rights and freedoms.

Twitter also plays a large role while thousands of people in surrounding Countries post about the political unrest they experience everyday.

Example: Arab Spring. The people who acted together used Facebook and Twitter to organize demonstrations, and identify goals. The mass of people joining these networks is intimidating to the dictators, as they have no control. They cant remove Facebook, they are forced to sit back while they are quickly over ruled by millions of people desperate for a change.
